Is there a non-MTH replacement for a push button (not a slide switch) for the fire station? I'm sure shipping from MTH for a replacement would be cost prohibitive for just one switch. Would appreciate any source for a comparable push button switch.

Joe, a simple, inexpensive doorbell button (as pictured below) will work just fine. They are readily available at your local hardware store, Home Depot, Lowe’s, etc. I have used them for over 10 years to operate the MTH fire house, gas station & car wash and have never had a problem!
What you want to look for is an SPST push button switch with NO (normally open) contacts. Amazon, eBay, AllElectronics, ... Be sure to check the size you want, the pictures can be misleading. Stay away from mini; they're too small.
