I made an impulse buy today at my LHS. I bought a QSI Maxx Traxx sound system. Does anyone have this? I’ve never heard of it before. Do any of the sounds like diesel prime mover sounds respond to something like amp draw of the motor? Am I missing anything by using it not the way the manual shows, without a locomotive powered by DC? It seems pretty cool. The horn is really throaty, so I can hide the speaker somewhere in the middle of my layout. I’m not sure if now I have buyers remorse.
