Quick question about the NASA version of this freight car set.
20-20013-1, when released in July 2010, was a 5 car set, with 4 white covers and one yellow cover.
20-200392-1, when reissued in July 2014, is a 5 car set with all white covers.
Anyone know the reason? What color is prophetically correct? Or has the prototype changed over time.

If you look for photos of the train, the colors of the covers are often mixed. Some trains were all white, one or two yellows or many yellows with a few whites. Im sure its whoever owned the car and/or cover, but I dont know for sure. Theres photos of both yellow and white covers out there almost to the end of the shuttle program. Its probably cheaper for MTH to shoot one color of plastic instead of two.... you'll also note that the more recent set lacks the crew car, it was sold separately.
White reflects more sun energy than yellow, so maybe later versions were white to keep the inside temperatures down during transit? Who knows.

Can anyone offer any advice on how to make the leader car for this set.
Trace the flatcar lids, make a template and then bend brass or something around it. Make feet, buy a boxcar and glue the hoops on.
