Hey guys. I have a (1) year old Legacy locomotive. Lionel #84845 GE Demonstrator AC6000. This engine was DOA when I bought it from Charles RO last year. I returned it and they fixed it for me at that time.
Today, I am running the unit and it speeds up on its own and then slams on the brakes. The cab light started flashing 1 time constantly. I looked up the code.....a motor failure. I tried to reset and that does not work. It starts up but does the same thing again.
i am asking the experts.....is this a trip to Lionel to fix? It does not appear that there is anything else I can do as the user. I do not have skill in taking them apart.
This is so frustrating as it makes 7 Lionel engines that had died after such a short use in the last 2 years.
