Hey all,

How's everyone doing? One of the holiday gifts I received today was a Lionel 100th Anniversary GCT. The model is gorgeous. I have a few questions that might constitute as being "dumb", but I am at a loss. My first question is about the operating clock. How exactly do I get it to work, and how do I replace the battery? The second question is about placing the clock into the front of the building. I understand that it's "friction fit", but when I tried to place it in, it wouldn't be exact. With the rubber thing around it, it would stick out, and without the rubber on it, becomes very loose. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks so much and happy holidays,

Greg

I don't have this version of the GCT, so I can't answer your question.

But what you might like to know is Harry Heike will be offering a base unit for your new Terminal and a back plate that will increase the size of this Terminal and improve the appearance.

Watch for a new Thread about these new accessories.

The question is about the clock.  The clock does have a bezel and the entire rear 2/3 of the clock fits into a plastic flexible ring which mounts it snugly into the recess.  On mine, there is a button on the 2 o'clock position.  Putting a thin blade therein pops off the back of the clock case revealing the mechanism and the size 377 battery that runs it.

Passenger Train Collector and Alan, I have seen the pictures of what the base is going to look like: absolutely amazing! My brother just had an engine custom painted by Harry and he does amazing work. That being said, POTRZBE is right: the post is about the clock. I will have to play with it and hope I get it to work.

Thanks so much and happy holidays

Greg
