Maybe this has been documented before; not sure.

A while back I picked up a Lionmaster Hudson #5418 from 2004.

I did my usual Lionel smoke unit mods including removing the resistor sleeve, enlarging the air intake hole, and dumping the wadding in favor of tiki torch wick. It already had an 8 ohm element, so I left that alone. I run it under TMCC and now she smokes like a champ.

But here is the weird part.

When I shut the smoke off and then hit the whistle, there is still a strong stream of smoke for about as long as I hold the whistle button, then it stops. This can be repeated several times until the resistor has cooled down and won't make smoke anymore.

Anyone else had this happen with a TMCC Lionel?
