Here are some pics that I took a few weeks ago of old CSX switchtower and surrounding area near Orange, Virginia.
Here are some CSX mainline photos.
The excavation is the Pinkerton Tunnel day lighting.
Where are the rails? Local shortline Grafton & Upton's mainline through Grafton, MA photographed this past Monday, 2/11/13, prior to being plowed after the weekend blizzard dumped about 30" in the area. At this point only a snowmobile has "ridden the rails"...
Joe:
Your collection is terrific. The old "Yard Limit" and other right of way signs have always been a favorite. And if you ever run into another semaphore I know someone who would be very interested
Thanks for sharing the pictures.
All the best,
Paul
I kinda wish Rick Wright would chime in and add some of his photos. I think it has been quite awhile since we've seen any. I especially like the "abandoned rails" pictures placed in this thread. Thanks all who shared..........wish I had some.
This thread has given me an idea. I am starting a thread called "Then and Now".

Point of Rocks, MD. Most folks take pictures of the station.
I take pictures of the crossovers. Looks like MdMikey does too.
When I tried to upload a couple photos, the system tried to upload the ENTIRE FOLDER! How do I select individual photos?
