Greetings. I was just flipping thru some old magazines I came into and found a railroad slogan quiz by Kent Day Coes in the May 1947 Trains Magazine. I thought it might be fun to post them here for some fun. Post what you know. See if you can get them without searching the internet for the answers. There are 35 questions. As they are correctly answered, I'll post more and post the correct answer along with the first responder with the correct answer.

Another round posted. Yardmaster is trying get a bigger lead and SouthernMike gets on the board.

I won't argue the correct saying but can only go by whats in the 1947 magazine, I am pulling this from. At the end, I'll post a photo of it.

Item 21, was Phoebe Snow a real person? Anybody else know?

It was a publicity stunt and Phoebe Snow was used to advertise the cleaner burning anthracite coal that the Lackawanna used from the Pennsylvania area. Sorry not a real person. However there has been a woman dressed up as Phoebe Snow for the advertising, don't know her real name.
