Yes, the TIU blinks once and when we READ, there is acknowledgement of FOUND TIU ADDR 1 being present. The request to READ is successful on all of my PS2 locomotives when done with only one locomotive on the powered track. Until very recently, I could have more than one locomotive on the powered track and it would find them all. For some reason it now says there aren't any on the track when there is more than just one locomotive.
I've swapped out transformers, put down a separate powered track, and tried just about everything I can think of to isolate the problem, but no luck.
Is it possible there is a weak signal to or from the TIU when more than one locomotive is present?
Jim,
The emssage NO ACTIVE DCS ENGINES jkust means that all of your engines are in the Inactive Engine List, it's not an "error" message, just a statement of fact.
In order for an engine to be "READ" by DCS, it must be already in the remote and sitting on a powered track connected to a TIU that the remotes knows about.
Ensure that the TIU's DCS ID# is present in the remote. Learn the TIU's ID# by counting how many times the red LED blinks when you power it up. Then, when you press READ, see if the TIU that the remote is looking for, is that number.
