I picked up many boxes of stuff up from a widow that was moving today. Included was quite a bit of OO Lionel. There are three 5432 Hudson locomotives and tenders with whistle. Variations inside the cab are 0 0 1, 0 0 3, and 0 0 4. They are all dirty but complete. Also included are a few Freight cars and a box of track in the original box. I believe with one of the locomotives and the cars it makes up set number 0 0 9 0 w. There is also a gg1 that the zinc pest has eaten the trucks apart on. The shell is pretty nice however. There is a whistle controller Transformer and so on. This is my first OO pic in all the years I have been collecting and gathering this stuff. Any information would be appreciated. It also came with some poorly repainted Scale Craft Passenger cars. And a few Passenger cars made out of wood that maybe someone can identify. The stuff was wrapped in newspaper from 1956.
Also included was some American Flyer S gauge, an unused 350 transfer table extension, quite an array of old HO and some old N scale sets still in their boxes. We even set one up on the kitchen table last night and it ran fine.
An interesting find.
I'm not well-versed on OO or working on them. They look like a little different animal than the other postwar stuff I'm used to. If anyone here has experience with them and is interested and getting them up and running for me I'd be interested in talking with you. I think before they get power to them they should have a look over. For certain the wires from the tenders need to be replaced. They are dry as toast. Thank you
