Remove 2620 swivel base

Hi all!

Does anyone know if it is possible to remove and replace the swivel base on a Lionel 2620 searchlight car? The light holder bracket broke, right where the bolt screws in to hold the light fixture in position when I attempted to tighten it. I'm guessing the Gorilla Glue won't hold.

Any other suggestions greatly appreciated too.
