Removing lights from body shell | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

I am attempting to take the lights and wiring harness out of a SD40-2 body shell and install into a dummy unit. having trouble getting the light bulbs out of the holes and removing the body mounted sprung electrical connections. Anyone have an idea how to do this without damage? Already broke one ditch light.

Clem, That happens. Many times there is glue and the bulb may break. For the headlights in a lens, I push out the lens with a pin punch. At that point your at the mercy of how the bulb was installed. You could try some heat. The spring mounts should come off. Gently twist and rock to get it free. G

Well I don't think these lights and plugs are coming off without breaking them, so where do I get new lights and plugs for my power unit?
