Did the connector actually break off or pop out? Can you take a picture?
I have intentionally removed the connector on several of my tracks to create a break in the rails without actually cutting them to create blocks to use with relays for signal activation. The attached link shows you how to do loosen the rails/connectors so you can replace or reinsert the connector: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NWKCyTdKgL4. If you indeed broke one, I probably have an extra one I can send you in the mail.
Pin broke off inside the next track. The video reminded me how to fix it, Except I need a replacement pin any ideas?
Thank You
Ken
I've used an extra section or another damage section of track and removed the pins.

Ken,
PSA is right on the money, only way to get some of this stuff is to salvage it off
another track, no replacement parts being made that I know of. Lionel wants to sell you another piece of track. Because I custom build my layouts, I usually have some track I can steal pins from in my inventory. You will have to build up to it also.

That's what I do as well. I just cannibalize damaged FasTrack sections and keep the pins and other parts in a separate box so I can use them for future projects or repairs.
Out of curiosity, how do you damage FasTrack?

Earl,
Do you have any Children left at home?

I know I have some track around here if you can't fix it. I've cut track for lift gates roundhouse and other projects. Let me know I will dig some up and mail to you.

It's not easy, but it can be done, I suppose. I do as Ken does and "experiment" with things a bit. Sometimes the experiments don't work out as I had hoped, and sometimes I damage things in the process. Also, I had some sections that had badly discolored rails (which didn't affect operation), but since I am kind of anal about such things, I just keep them in reserve so I can use portions of those sections when needed.

Put your locomotive with alcohol in the smoke unit to "clean" it on the FasTrack and fire it up!
Or... hammer, sabre saw, engineer boots... let me count the ways. Where there's a will, there's a way!

I cracked the roadbed on two of my 036 curves by 'lightly' forcing a connection. They didn't show the cracks initially, but after Christmas, when I took the sections apart, there they were.
Tenenx 7 to the rescue.
Another source of damaged fastrack to slavage might be your LHS. Ask if they have any damaged fastrack and offer to buy a section or two for a buck or two. That would give you some extra pieces to salvage in the future as well.
Under anything approaching what might be defined as "normal usage," the stuff is pretty much bullet proof.
