Dave, Are you sure Power Supply is damaged, or just soot residue?

Was this an: I plugged the harness in upside down?  Looks like AC got on the Motor Drive side and the motor too if it is damaged.  Unless motor went dead short some how.

I have seen worst, but all those parts are available and replaceable.  The power supply board may be fixable, they usually are.

Hopefully it wasn't a flash code engine otherwise you might not get a replacement board.  G

I like the thinking here, focused on the cause. Question the motors, (both), there may be an issue with the speaker, if it is a sound board. I would guess, most of the time, power consumption devices, motors, speaker, lights, etc. fault to open, (they just don't work), rare case of fault to close, (dead short) on some delicate board wiring???.  As Dave mentioned expensive repair, just the board replacements, you would hate to do the same thing to a new board. Again focus on the cause, IMO

Mike it is TomB's engine. It happened on the modular layout.

Dave

I believe the last time they set-up was in Dunbar. I wasn't there.  I'll contact you, Monday/Tuesday next week.
