Is there anyone who knows how to repair MTH couplers? I have several couplers that have lost the ability to spring back to the center. I tried repairing these myself to no avail. That wire spring does not want to cooperate at all. Does anyone have a clue how to get these back to factory new?

Thank you but unfortunately that is not the problem with their couplers. Tighten the screw for the most part immobilizes the couplers but doesn't fix the self centering issue, that is the soul purpose of the spring. Thier Amfleet type of cars do not have this problem as they are one piece. Lionel makes all of their trucks and couplers like this and is why there is rarely an issue with them.
