Replacement speakers ps2 | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

Trying to find a replacement speaker for my PS2 SD-50 as speaker is scratchy and magnet is flaking. It's a 4 ohm 3 watt HSD, 50mm dia by 17mm tall.. Talked to Midge at MTH, she said the original was a BF0000034, superceded by BF0000043, which are out of stock. I also have it on good authority the 0000043 may be too tall.

I've looked at old posts but no good sources come up. Madison Sound is mentioned but without a pn looks like 712 pages to look through. Digikey didn't have anything that works that handled more than 1.3 watts.

Happy to purchase a couple from anyone on the forum if someone has a good replacement or if someone can share a source.

I bought a box full of 4ohm speakers off of Amazon. They had lots to choose from, so you should be able to find one that fits........

Contact raymon manley at rays electric train works. he is my mth tech he sometimes has the speakers in stock. I got some a while back to replace my bad ones. great guy to deal with.

Check your clearance, if you have room for a couple more millimeters, these might just work:

Hot glue the edges in place or make new holding brackets.
