The real key person is Mr. Will Harris, who was the person behind organizing last years excursions. Regardless of the public statements published (especially in the Trains Magazine report), there is definitely "Trouble in River City"!

I served on a Board for a few years. It can be a lot of work as well as a lot of politics. By the end it didn't take much for me to want to jump ship.
Glad I had the opportunity to participate in two “Hands on the Throttle” events with 611. As well as see it on excursions in Virginia a few years ago. In light of the recent developments it doesn’t look like the locomotive will be operating or leaving Roanoke anytime soon…
