Hi all, I am in the process of repairing a v150 transformer--something I read while researching stated that if you remove the resistor from circuit breaker to red lamp, you can just add a jumper from circuit breaker to socket and replace 6volt bulb with a 18volt bulb since this will only light when a short occurs--any help will be much appreciated  Greg

On a Lionel Type V 150 Watt transformer, there is roughly 24-25 volts across the Short Circuit Indicator Bulb when the breaker opens.  If bypassing the 60Ω resistor wire, a 24 volt bulb may be a good choice for the V's short circuit indicator.
