After 12 + years of having my trains packed up in boxes, I'm back in the hobby. I've built an 18' x 8' (10.5' at one end) layout. It is a flat layout using MTH Real Trax constructed for my grandson at Christmas. Soon it will be Atlas O track with grades and elevation changes. I purchased my first Lionel locomotive; a Legacy 10 Wheeler. I overfilled the smoke unit and thought I had a problem, so I came to the OGR forum. After extracting the excessive fluid with the miniature turkey baster Lionel supplies and letting it sit while I had lunch, the smoke started working. I've been lurking on this site for awhile and decided it was time to once again be a member. BTW, I like my MTH, but I like my Lionel Legacy even more. However, I don't yet have any PS3 locomotives, only PS2.

OMAN,
Welcome back to the OGR and the greatest hobby known to man kind. Your layout looks great, I run DCS & Legacy, IMO the very best way to run a layout! Good luck with your new engines & have fun!

Yesterday I picked up the bulk of my Atlas O track from the store in Hampton NH. Nice small store with great prices. I had no idea when I started buying Atlas O track that there had been a drought for the last 2 years. According to the store owner that should end soon. I still need #5 turnouts that are suppose to be available this month; fingers crossed.

Welcome,
I have been on here for a few years. I run mainly MTH and Williams (pre Bachmann)trains, with some older Lionel thrown in too. I have the DCS system and use it with about 6 MTH engines.
I am using tubular track because it works better for me and you can cut it to fit. Also I am using Gargraves track and a couple of Gargraves switches, and 4 Ross switches.
I have not used Atlas track or switches, so I hope you have success with the Atlas track.
