So Bob, I would call MTH and see if they would honor a warranty repair. Since you still have good fixed output DCS, most likely the 2 buffers for Variable blew. Once I get more details on chip type and placement of SMD Diode I will be able to do this also. G

How soon do you think you'll be in a position to do this repair? I'd rather bring it to you than ship it off.

Truth is it doesn't affect the way I currently run my layout as I run only 1-2 engines at a time and they're either all PS2/TMCC or a single conventional engine. It's knowing that the TIU is suppose to do something and isn't that will make me get it fixed.
