You are about to read what you may consider a dumb question. I have just added Legacy to my layout. If you look down at a piece of Lionel Fastrack you will see a right and left side outter rail. Under the track, there are connector taps to the right side and left side outter rail. Here is the dumb question, do all of your drops need to be to the same side outter rail or does it matter? Some of you may think this to be a dumb question, but I have not read anywhere that it matters, but if the Legacy system signal travels on the outter rail, it may be a consideration. I am having trouble with a Legacy engine's sound. It will come on sometimes and sometimes, it will not or come on and then go off. I am trying everything to address this problem.
