I was looking at my new RMT Bang today, investigating a future modification (rejected) for a friend, and pulled the loco across the
table (not a track in sight) in order to look at something else, and saw a light - on the loco. The headlight lit up. I pushed it from me
and the red markers lit instead. Really cute. The drivers/traction motors in the trucks will turn when pushed as this loco is helical-geared,
and since motors become generators when spun, they back-fed the electronics boards with power, and the lights lit. Directional, too
(of course). And very prototypical - it's how dynamic brakes work, which means that this little "toy" is more prototypical than some
others, as when you rapidly slow a heavy train behind it, the motors are turned by the wheels and actually offer some wee dynamic
braking. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
This is of course of no importance, but there you have it anyway.
