I am so happy to see LGB is back and among the living! Those "big trains for indoors and outdoors" take me back to a much happier time in my life - I miss seeing them on the store shelves in my area. I had several large LGB dealers around me. Some are no longer around, some are slowing starting to bring it back.
I have a few LGB pieces - probably some of the last ones made in the Nuremberg factory. They are in rough shape cosmetically and haven't run in a very long time. I just like looking at them. I have also not had a train around the Christmas tree in many years. With this year possibly being the last Christmas in my longtime home, I have every intention of buying a Stainz set to run around the tree.
I had a very enjoyable conversation with the representatives at the LGB/Marklin booth at York last April. I look forward to the same again in 2 weeks!
