Here are pictures of a Curtis 3 way on our club layout at the entrance to one of our yards. The diverging routes are not curved. They are straight similar to # switches. I think it is 11 degrees similar to Ross's standard switch but not 100% sure. Best to confirm the angle with them.

I agree, we added Railroad tie brown to complete the installation.  The large oval topped piece is very important.

Note that there are (2) switch motors, DZ 1000's, Both motors have to be in the straight through, middle alignment, before either diverge, left or right, can be thrown. It is a reliable switch even with out the power routing wiring, IMO.  Power routing is shown with the diagram provided.
