Good morning, everyone.
I am considering adding Iphone/Ipad control to my layout. I have a spare Netgear G54/N150 Wireless router. Can this be used in place of purchasing the MTH product?

No. The MTH WIU is much more than a simple router.

Being an IT person I can probably answer some questions about the router at least. I've fallen off the track as far as control systems go due to the whole TMCC thing that happened earlier this year. That and the whole "Lets make LCS pointless by using direct bluetooth".
*Coughs* But i digress...

Bill, the MTH WIU is worth it IMHO if you want to start using or testing out an App for controlling your layout. I don't use it every time, but I try to use it whenever I can.
My thanks to everyone. Looks like I need to spend the money if I decide to go that route.
