Sitting here flipping through the new issue on my lunch break and simply love the new videos and extra pages. It's one thing to see a photo, it's another to hear and see it in motion. If you're on the fence about a Premium Membership, this should be a key reason to invest in one..... and now I'm off to go see Alan about my commission for selling Premium Memberships.
I too browsed through the new digital issue on my lunch break. Alas, there are too many extra photos and too much good video there!! My lunch break wasn't long enough. Even though my manager works in a town 500 miles from me, I had better get back to work and look at the video later. Excellent job OGR staff! Thank you.
Great edition. Loved the article by Eliot Scher. Also enjoyed the video on Jim Barrett's layout around the furnace.
I just wish that automatic renewal was optional.
Just skimmed it but thank you so much for the added content. It makes all the difference to an already outstanding edition.
Really outstanding. OGR is delivering much, much more than I expected for the Premium Membership - it is an exceptional value. All the extra content was superb but the videos with Howard Hitchcock and Jim Barrett's "around the furnace" were extra special. This is the first time I had heard about the Chinese development team coming up with the chip that made LionPlus possible. The York videos were all very crisply done and informative. What a way to go above and beyond expectations!
One thing for sure....OGR does its best to deliver more than expected or promised! The premium membership keeps getting better and better..
Thanks to all of you that are Premium Members...
Derek: OK...for your hard work for selling Premium Memberships, I will give you half of my commission....now lets see..........Zero divided by 1/2 equals....
Alan
What I'd really like to see is the Jim Barrett furnace video sped up and the "Benny Hill" theme running.
LOL!
I did speed up a part of it...
Benny Hill...now there was one FUNNY guy!

Agreed. I haven't had a chance to go through it as thoroughly as normal yet. I do love the additional content. Premium membership is SO worthwhile.

Now you are tempting me.....I still prefer my print magazines.....but lots of extras.....hmmmmmm
A Premium Membership wouldn't cause me to spend even more time on the forum would it?

Yeah...it probably would!
Some great articles as usual, nice to see Don's new layout progressing and an excellent how to article from Eliot. All the extras are terrific in this edition, well done.
Dave....keep the magazine AND ADD the Premium Membership!!
Thanks,
Alan

That's what I did. Then I gave some copies to a friend who said he used to read OGR, but thought it wasn't published any more. He will come around.
Mark...I appreciate your support!!

Alan,
I have been so happy with all OGR has to offer. I was in HO and N scales for 45 years before I went into O Gauge. An OGR magazine in a Giant Eagle supermarket caught my attention. It was the issue a couple of years back featuring Mercer Junction. Dave's shop is a little less than an hour from where I live, so I went there. It was then and there I was hooked on O gauge. OGR magazine, videos, and forum have helped me with learning what is different from HO. Also, I have met some great modelers via the forum and some of them now in person. I am just trying to give back to the hobby like all of you have given to me.
Thank you one and all!

I prefer print too, but the premium membership is the best of both worlds. I find I still enjoy reading the print edition when it arrives as much as I ever did plus I get to enjoy things like the videos that can only be done on the internet. Originally I thought the premium membership was primarily a way to support OGR and the forum but now I feel I am the beneficiary getting so many extras from OGR and the forum.
I stopped the print just because I had too many magazines and didn't want to trash them. Well I finally did and went digital and never looked back. There were some early pains but in the last few years the Premium Membership and the included DE have been a pleasure. The added footage and pics are a great bonus!
Another excellent issue........

Used the app on my Nexus 7 and was unable to play any video content in this issue. Anyone else have this issue?
What is a Nexus 7?
What is a Nexus 7?
Learned something today...
...as I thought Nexus was a haircare product line...no that is spelled Nexxus
...or some Star Trek extradimensional realm/movie magic
I have both because they both have advantages. I like reading the magazine at night in bed and the digital when I'm working on my computer. Best of both worlds. Don
I also have both and I'm really enjoying each. Great issue.
Great Issue .. (Again)! I too loved the extra shots of the C&O, like Scale Rail above, I like the option of both. Especially when I travel, just a touch on the iPad, and instant OGR.
