Beautiful set!
I have never seen a complete set or a set actually running.
I have been looking for one at York for years.
thank you.
Does the searchlight car have a motor to make it spin or is it geared to an axle?

Both spinning cars are geared to axle the searchlight obviously works great but the satellite is a little lazy.
The compressor cars works but the motor needs to be serviced it screeches like a cat that backed into a fan so that’s why it’s not running until I figure that out .
the cars with the compressor and searchlight must be tethered to the locomotive to work.

And it came with KUSAN master carton too!
Nice addition to your collection.

Do the cars have pass-through contacts to daisy-chain them to the locomotive, or did you have to improvise the connections?

I went with the original daisy chain system of wires and spade connecters.
little dielectric grease makes for easy connectioning and disconnecting.

I have a Kusan Bexel Alco A-A (powered and dummy made from an extra shell on a dummy frame). My Alco is battery powered using a 9 volt battery and a reverse switch. Nice runner but only one speed.
