Running MTH in Conventional?

I run MTH PS1, 2 and 3 in conventional using either a Z4K, CW80, or ZW-L.  I doubt it matters what power supply you use: in conventional I have bell, whistle, and engine sounds only.  Quite enough actually. 

Thanks Lee, do you use a Cab-1 or Cab-2 or do you use the transformer handles.  Will it make a difference?

I run my MTH PS-* on a CW80 (I'm told not a good idea) but most times my MRC O27 Dual Pack. Run fine.

For QSI and PS-1 you have everything available in the engine. All the features are accessed using varied voltage.

A PS-2 in conventional has a number of features available. Horn,Bell,cruise control. The directions show you how to access them in conventional.

Z-1000's; I have bell, whistle, brakes, uncoupling sound, cruise control, and crew talk.... PS-2. Never have run anything but conventional.

I don't know if it makes a difference - I only use the handles.  Don't own any cab devices.

Later PS-1 which are conventional engines do fine.  Some early QSI and PS-1 from the 1994 to 96 may not function well with the Power Master output.  May not come out of neutral.  These are the versions that need pure AC.

For PS-2 conventional, the will run and function with belkl and whistle, but the CAB-1 and PM don't respond fast enough to activate PS-2 features such as firing coupler, doing a feature reset, etc...   G
