For those of you who have gone to Sam & Tony's restaurant in the past, you may want to consider a new place. I called last night and was informed that it has been sold, and tonight, 9/27 is the final night of service. The new owner will open in the spring of 2015. I have been there on two previous York trips, and enjoyed the quiet atmosphere and the food isn't bad either. Another group I belong to was looking to meet there on Friday of York week.

Just perused their website and menus, seems like a nice place. Though, I did not know that meatloaf with brown gravy was an Italian dish. It's sad whenever a good restaurant closes.
Tip: Avoid any restaurant called Sam and Ella's
Thanx, Don. As you know, this was always my favorite York restaurant. While I'm not going to be there this fall, I will look forward to their reopening next year and hopefully it will be before the April York meet.
