Santa Fe made liberal use of steel cantilevered masts for block signals on its main lines. As color lights become the new standard, BNSF has been aggressively replacing the cantilevers and the searchlight signals they supported.
Two continue to serve in Williams, Arizona, but not as block signal masts . . .
