How does a Cab-2 (or Cab-1) communicate to an SC-2?  We are having some issues at the club since we moved the SC-2's. Both locations are within a foot from the track, just on the other side.  The layout is about 8X20.  The one thing that was changed is they were mounted vertically , now horizontally on a shelf.

Thanks

Mine work best with power from a transformer that has U connected to the base U terminal...like an engine basically.

Chuck, thanks for your reply.  Something has changed for us.  When we slide the drawer out that has the SC-2's mounted on, they won't respond to the cab-2.  Does the signal come through the common/ground rail or though the cab-2 antenna?

It's like an engine where the U terminal is connected to it whereas the engine wheels sit on the U connected rail and the antenna receives from the ground wire in the building wiring. The antenna in the SC-2 is along the top inside of the case. Laying a ground connected wire (like connected to pin #5 on the base DB9 socket) along the top of the case helps immensely.
