That is really cool Rusty. Awesome engine. Wow! That is a pricey conversion. I realize it is a lot of machining work and the price is fair but too bad they don't just make the locomotives that way from the get go.

It may seem pricey (OK... it is pricey) but even so, with the conversion the Y3 would cost considerably less then if River Raisin (they do make really great stuff) made one.
But, I never thought I see Lionel attempt to attract the S Scale market. Perhaps scale wheel steam is in the future, perhaps not.
We'll have to see how this Lionel/Flyer vs. MTH/SHS thing shakes out.
