Anyone remember the dealer that had all the wonderful scale rulers for kit building in the Orange Hall. He was against the back of the front wall kind of behind the back wall of the snack bar? Should have bought one while I was there now I cant remember who it was.

Seen him at York and other train shows in the past. Has over 150 scales, imperial or metric, I have one of his cards, called, Rulers-of-the-World.com

I purchased an O-Scale 1/48th ruler from him for $4.00.
Here's the web site.
I would have LOVED to buy one of the rulers since I do a fair amount of 1:48 modeling.
I didn't buy one though. Why? Because none of them are down to the 1" scale (1/48 real inch). I have rulers, not scale rulers but rather "regular" rulers, where the first inch has finer gradations. For instance, I have a ruler where the first inch has markings at the 1/32" spacing. The rest of the ruler is limited to the normal 1/16" spacing. But that first inch comes in awfully handy at times. When you're building models you have to do better than using a ruler that has as its smallest measurement what scales to 6", like the ones at York.
I talked to the table owner and expressed my issue. He didn't really seem to care though.
Too bad.

WALT,
If you are looking for precision here is what you need.
Starret Tools are the best these 6 inch rulers go down to 1/64th of an inch.
There is always the old triangle architect scale. One foot is in inches and the rest in 6" increments. Under $10 at most office supply stores. Also if you switch to S you have a 3/16 scale.
Twelve of these lines jammed into a scale foot (0.25") would be very close and it is more than likely that the ink will "bleed" into one blob.
I have an 'O' scale ruler that I can PRINT and use and it's down to a scale inch for the first actual inch on the ruler. I can't use it to make markings, but being paper I can use it to draw a line. So I would like to have one that is plastic.

Attention: Walt Rapp !!!
Order whatever size "O" scale ruler you need and we will ensure that the first scale 10 feet have scale inches.
Can I say more ???

OOPS:
in my comment " but being paper I can use it to draw a line." I should have said "can't".
