This is my first attempt at a small tunnel system. Will be xmas layout, but I thought doing all the grass, dirt, trees, etc was good practice. Now, every time I look at it, I want to add more of "something".  Am I at the state where less is more, now?  Or should I go with continuing to add stuff as it strikes my fancy?  Application of snow(again, xmas scene) is in the future, but not full coverage so I don't completely loose what's there now. Tips and/or techniques, or ideas to make the scene more realistic and complete would be appreciated

I appreciate the insight. Here are the products on hand. For a little more texture do you have one in mind, and do I use it on the "grassy" areas only?  My thinking is that the somewhat higher peaks are wind weathered without much growth so will remain sparse, but the valleys are where growth accumulates over time. Am hesitant to use the scenic paste for drift snow, as I dont think that it would be removable. The soft snow should be easy by turning over or gentle vacuum. It may be that it stays also if it looks ok. Thx again will mull it over b4 going further.  TW
