It arrived today... Lionel PM Berk 1225 with PM Tender. Also scored a PE 1225 Legacy Tender as well. All 3 arrived well packed and I just had to get in those boxes and take a look for myself. Wow, what an engine! I guess that means I'm going to have to add some more heavyweight cars to the stable. Oh my. I'm out of control!

Heavyweight cars? PM1225 is a freight engine, except for 1 night out of the year.
Enjoy it, I have one as well. Its arguably one of the best sounding locomotives Lionel has ever made. Every sound came directly from the "real deal", right down to the "swishing sound" of the bell lanyard.
Thanks RickO! You are indeed right, but the PE runs about 2 months out of the year on my line. And PM did run some Pullmans in a C&O blue and yellow paint scheme at some point. But I have not been able to find any. I might need to build some.
I'll be riding on the real deal later this year, and can't wait to get in that cab!
Great items to score Volphin.
They are on my "some day list".
RickO, I have only seen these models. I have yet to hear them. Has anyone posted a video of one? I'd like to check it out, if someone has.
Enjoy them!
I have it also with the Heavyweights and run it at our club Christmas show. It's always a big hit. Kids bouncing up and down, pointing and yelling "The Polar Express, Dad/Mom!"
Got some Dept 56 removable snow patches that I'm going to try out next year on the roofs.
You're going to love it!
Congrats!
Thanks everyone! I am SO looking forward to firing her up this weekend! I'll have to make a few mods to the layout first though. I'm using 048 Curves! Looks like it's time to bump up to 060. 072 and 084 are completely out of the question... I have some serious space limitations!
Hi Chris
I know some of those kids; Ben, Vinnie, John S...

Vinnie's a kid for sure. Not too sure about Ben & John (and Jim for that matter!)
