I have an MTH PS3 SD-50, part number 20-20181-1. One of the cab number board lights is dimly lite. This is my first experience with this type of problem. Your feedback would be greatly appreciated.
My best guess is that one of the number board LEDs has slipped out of its holder.
If you're comfortable removing the cab of the engine, and if this is the problem, you should be able to just push the errant LED back into the place that it belongs.
Try what Barry stated first. If that does not help, pull the 40 pin plug and reseat it. Do not pull the plug by the wires. Use something that will lift each end of the plug a bit at a time. I use a dental pick.
