Sell or Donate #2055 and set?

No sentimental attachment?

Lots of folks get rid of their childhood trains, only to regret it later.

Drop me an email if you want to sell it, my address is in my profile.

I'd also keep it.... Display it on a shelf in your train room.

Run it for nubes and relatives... Show them what a Lionel set

can do after 50+ years....

It would be better to keep it.

If you are selling it, first email CharlieS about it from his post above. If that falls through, then I would put it in the OGR For Sale forum.

If you care to donate it, the NJ Hi-Railers will accept it and find it a good home. we are a 501c3 org. and all donations are fully tax deductible. 

My sister passed in March. She loved yard sales. She often found items for me. Lots of cheapy starter set cars for 25 cents to a buck. Well worth it for the grandkids to play with. One time she brought me a rare and hard to find plastic model kit.....price 25 cents. Worth well over $100 today.....I could never part with it. Or all those cheapy Lionel plastic freight cars.

No attachment to the trains??? Dump them....

Our Historical Society is also nonprofit 501c3. We have covered postage & provided a receipt for tax in the past for donations. There is a link below for our display.

I have a real distinct feeling that if you part with your childhood train, later on you may come to really regret it.

However, bottom line: It's your train. Decide and do. Best of luck.

I sure know nothing about selling/buying post war Lionel, so ... I don't know how valid these prices are .... (I've bought odd parts for my 2046, etc from these people in NJ) ....
