Asking the advise of the forum here. Friday my sister sent me my old original Lionel Train set. Cars and engine all in original Lionel Boxes. Engine is  #2055, Tender 6026W, cars are Caboose, tank car, gondola, and hopper car. All in very good condition. Today I lubed the engine and gave it a test run. Ran great, as did tender whistle after 50+ years. Dropped in a smoke pellet, and she even smoked.

So, I know some Lionels aren't worth much, would it be better to donate or sell? Thinking of signing up and selling on E-Bay after all these years. Thank you

My sister passed in March. She loved yard sales. She often found items for me. Lots of cheapy starter set cars for 25 cents to a buck. Well worth it for the grandkids to play with. One time she brought me a rare and hard to find plastic model kit.....price 25 cents. Worth well over $100 today.....I could never part with it. Or all those cheapy Lionel plastic freight cars.

No attachment to the trains??? Dump them....
