I recently passed through Wheeling, WV. with my family on a trip to Pittsburgh.  When I saw that the route we were taking would take us through Wheeling, I made the comment that I should have brought an OGR magazine along.  My daughter picked up on what I was getting at and googled Pat's Trains.  Needless to say, we had to take a break and stretch our legs.

I have never met Pat before, but when I mentioned that I was a member of the OGR forum he treated me like an old friend.  He opened up his back rooms so I could see his entire inventory.  He has a very nice shop with an unbelievable inventory.  We had a nice conversation, discussing many topics.  While I didn't make any purchaces this time, I will definitly be dealing with him in the future.  He is a first class guy with a first class business.

Thank you Patrick,

Pat, the proprietor of Patrick's Trains, did not know me from Adam, but he extended his kind friendship, courtesy, personal interest, service and was instrumental in obtaining for me M.T.H's. three 40ft. and two 50ft. 'P.RR.' 'Phase One' 'Merchandise Service' box cars for.

They are the closest, in design, scale size dimensions, color paint scheme and detailing, that any 1:48 scale model manufacture came out with, as M.T.H's. cars are very similar to the prototype 40ft. and 50ft. box cars of 'P.RR,' during the middle 1940's.

If, M.T.H. comes out with the same, as above, in the 60ft. size box cars, as the 'P.RR's.' prototypes, then I would like to order two 60 footers from Patrick's trains.

I know the 60 ft. box cars might never get produced, but I am hoping they will be made, as 'P.RR.' actually built and used all of the three sized box cars, at the time.
