Come on, don't hold back, show me some awesome power.

This morning I ran this MTH PS2 Pennsy VO1000. In this video it is hauling one of my longest trains, a consist of Postwar and modern Lionel and MTH freight cars.

That muscular VO1000 could have pulled an even longer train except for my reverse loops which would have caused the head of the train (the locomotive) to hit its tail (the caboose).

Now, it's your turn. Show us your awesome power. Arnold

Hudson 5426, having been bumped from empire duty, emerges from shopping  on a unique mixed local, before heading off for her new assignment in Mercury service ….judging by the exhaust, she’s almost at peak efficiency, handling this cut of cars with grace & style …..this newly rebuilt locomotive combines parts from a wide spectrum of eras, including genuine prewar 700E parts. No traction tires here, just weight & brute strength thanks to a large, & powerful 60 mm Pittman,……

Posted before, but trains on my clubs layout, the Paradise and Pacific in Scottsdale, AZ.

It's the early 1950's on the Santa Fe and an AB pair of FTs are working hard pulling a 50 car freight train upgrade heading westbound towards Flagstaff, Arizona.

Fast forward to the late 1960's and a headend heavy El Capitan / Super Chief is slowing through Holbrook.

Just a scant 4 years later and the same train now has a new operator in Amtrak.

@bluelinec4  To answer your question enough to pull three sets of 120 coal cars plus some!

VGN2-6-6-6

@BlueFeather  This is definitely a monster by anyone standards.   Lots of raw juice with this engine.

@Trainbros89  You couldn't have picked a better engine to pull a U.S.A. military train.

Out of the 22 responses, the Allegheny's by far, 13.5 %  dominate the layouts where awesome power is needed to pull their consists.

Great choice guys!!!!!
