I'm wanting to get a car that would be "THE" car to represent each big railroad.

To me, nothing says Seaboard Air Line like their "Through The Heart Of The South" emblem and "The Route Of Courteous Service" slogan:

DSCF0002

What would be the ONE car to get that would represent you favorite RR?

Let's see em!!!

The subject is billboard BOXCARS (and there were some), and not billboard reefers, which means an Atlas posting is not requested, so my mention of the double door Colorado Midland reefer with the Ute Indian on the side is probably off topic.  I use it frequently in my postings of structures.  I think the Hulman Coffee Co., of Terre Haute, Ind.  used a billboard boxcar.  I just checked an HO model but it is an Athearn kit for a Hulman reefer, but I think I have seen HO boxcars.  (Atlas has not done the Hulman reefer).  I would buy an O scale model of either.  Tony Hulman was affiliated with the Indianapolis Speedway.

Correct about the reefers (even though they had completely slipped my mind).

I'm sure RRs like NYC, PRR, UP, ATSF, SOU, and ACL all had slogans they used that immediately made the observer aware of which RR it was.  Just look at this, that boat always reminds me of the WIF&SCo:

WIF 800 Reefer opposite side

If I wanted a boxcar to represent the WIF&SCo it would have to be one with the boat emblem.
