Very nice collection, Don. It seems that European trains were more colorful!!!

@Apples55 - Thank you for the comment Paul, yes as I started to go through my pictures it did seem that the foreign types had more colorful liveries.

Here are some of my "Non-Black" Steam Locomotives. From Left to Right:
Lionel 6-18018 Mikado #4501
From Lionel Set 6-31713 Pacific #1396
Weaver QC-1081LP Pacific #1380
MTH 20-3466-1 Pacific #1407
Lionel 6-28057 Mountain #1491
Williams 5013 Pacific #1401
Williams Mikado #4869
Wow, those are sharp Tom, especially that Weaver. I don't believe I have seen that one, or if I have, it is definitely an old video about converting it to TMCC. I'll have to double check to see if that is indeed a Pacific that was being converted. I do know that it was a Weaver Streamlined Engine as I think that they also did the Cincinnatian as well.
@Dave NYC Hudson PRR K4 Weaver did do the Cincinnatian P7D Pacific. They show up on the auction sites from time to time and are a little more common than the Sunset / 3rd Rail version. A beautiful locomotive.
Let's lift our glasses to Tom here for this amazing photo!
Possibly one of the best assemblage of SOUTHERN steam I've even seen.

Yes they did, I meant the people in the video I saw were also converting that to TMCC like the other Weaver engine. Sorry if that wasn't clear.

Question for the group: can anyone confirm if the prototype Southern steamers in Virginia Green really had oxide red roofs?

It's not black.

Maybe ask on the Real Trains topic. One of my posts about the model of the K4 Torpedo sort of went off the rails and got closed down because of that. See if anyone knows over there, start a topic asking that.
Bobfett..right on time! I am Enjoying a Yuengling right now!!🤠
nice!

@cpowell - I like it, but you should put either L.M.S. or the "Lion and Wheel" on the tender to complete the effect.
Great work and I enjoyed the picture

Some paint jobs on Lionel 2-4-2 locos that were All Black looking the same.

Okay, I need to get in on this one which I should have been able to do right off the bat, but I had to dig this engine out of the box(that should have been opened months ago). This is the C&O Yellow Belly Hudson Pat @harmonyards did for me along with the passenger cars with full interiors.
Look at the water hose.
This thing is heavy, Pat really went all out to make sure that this engine can pull anything.
Close up of the deck plate and water hose.
A peek inside the cab.
