I have been looking to fill the huge gap between MTH superliner passenger cars. I initially tried to use black cloth spacers but was not satisfied.
I found some soft packing sponge and cut and fitted it to fit inside the existing diaphragms. I made sure it was a tight fit so that the sponge was exerting some slight pressure against the cars. The sponge was a light gray and I painted it black with a magic marker, may look for a darker sponge later. I have photos on a straight section and the tightest curve I have. After going through the curve the sponge would return to its original position.
