We are holding monthly open houses at the clubhouse this year hoping to continue through the fall and into the winter months. Turnout today was small (it was a beautiful day here in the mountains and most were enjoying the outdoors I will assume) but we had two visitors who are interested in the hobby and threatened to return. New members are always welcome!

Our resident electrician Ed, who celebrated his 80th birthday recently, brought his premiere MR Hiawatha to run. It is certainly a beauty! Love that distinctive observation car. The locomotive experienced some 'lurching' issues (Not Odyssey!) that I've asked about on the DCS forum but I was still able to get some nice shots and video. Harold brought out his new Lionel Long Island H12 which is a conventional only engine as I understand it. What a beauty.

I ran our older NYC Alco PA's with the beautiful silver trucks. Although from 1997, these have a wonderful blended horn with two horns - one in each unit. I'm sure some of you have these or the companion Warbonnets and can relate here. The horns sound great even today!
