can smoke fluid go bad ? I have a engine a Lionel sd80mac with legacy it got fixed by Lionel they said nothing was wrong with it but before it make a lot of noise and no smoke came out . now it does not make a noise and no smoke comes out and the cab light does not blink so what is wrong with it . and on the legacy remote it say on high and the engine switch is on smk thanks - matt

Well, it doesn't go bad so much that you wouldn't get any smoke. It's mineral oil, what usually happens it develops a different odor, sometimes pretty stinky.

Can you feel air coming out of the stack with it's stopped?
