Well I'm dealing with lost sound in a different thread. A few days ago, the engine stopped producing smoke. I replaced the fan motor, replaced the batting and cleaned off the resistor. Resistor measures 16 ohms. I checked continuity of the cable between the PCB and the smoke unit. A-OK. Checked to see if the resistor was heating...nope. The fan doesn't run. I toggled the smoke /no smoke switch a few times. That didn't help. The cable from the smoke unit connects to separate PCB attached to the Mother Board...it's soldered in, nothing to 'wiggle.' Motor, lights and electro-coupler work fine. I guess the SPDT switch for smoke could be the culprit, but I'm not sure how to test it. Any suggestions or is it going to be smokeless forever since I can't replace any of what I think are the relevant circuit boards except the SMOKE ELEMENT PCB W/ 16 OHM / SGSU. I've applied 9v DC to the two posts marked and the fan runs, and the headlight flashes as it does when power is on but the remote is off. Any chance that the sound amplifier chip, which I hope restores sound also plays a role in the smoke unit malfunction? (https://ogrforum.com/...6#173597743409256166)

I'M SO EMBARASSED! IT JUST DAWNED ON ME TO TRY BLUETOOTH! SMOKE WORKS FINE!!! I had the smoke turned off in BlueTooth. Turned it on and instant smoke. Well, it has a new fan motor and batting....
