I just took a look at your website. Everything looks fantastic!  The one thing I didn't see available was the buildings from the North Pole with the Christmas tree, from the Polar Express.  Are those buildings available?

I don't know who you are with the awesome shirt on the last photo, but that shirt is awesome!!!

Chief Traingineer, Roger Farkash, designed that shirt especially for YORK in 2008... an oldie but goodie : ) We may need to have more printed up - you and about 50 more let me know you love the T-shirt... lol!

Quick question, Will MTH and Lionel Superliners fit under your new train shed/passenger platform? Thanks!!

Good question - we just returned from York but the Van with the platform stations doesn't get back until tomorrow. We'll have to "test drive" these and see if they fit under... stay tuned.

You should be good. Roger and I measured it in the booth and it was just under 6". I had to pass on them because it wasnt high enough for pantographs, and even though he said they could modify it to be higher, I think raising the roof would have killed the effect of the arches. Superliners are shorter than double stacks and double stacks are maybe 5.75" high when they sit on high water cars, so I think you're good.

Daylight,

Yup, its me! I resigned from Lionel in November of 2016 and signed on with TW Trainworx back in February. Finally a chance to do what I really love! Designing cool architectural structures, designing and building truly one of kind, unique custom model railroads and being a part of an awesome crew of talented craftsmen! (and craftswomen too!).

If you ever need any help from us at TW TrainWorx, please don't hesitate to reach out! mreagan@twtrainworx.com

Having a blast and looking forward to a larger and cooler spread of new products to debut in York in October! Stay tuned, its only getting better from here!

Best,
Mike

Trainworx products are for the rich & famous.

I'm not rich by any stretch of the imagination, and I'm definitely not famous, but I will certainly will be adding several Trainworx products to my next layout (just waiting to buy a new home, and that is an in-progress project). Might even retain Big Mike Reagan to assist me with the design.

It's always great to see Dorcie, Roger, and the Trainworx team at York, and it's a bonus being able to chat with Mike in the same booth.

I really can't agree with that.  Some of the bridges are not terribly expensive.

Scale model depots that are laser cut, hand built, one at a time, yes, they are more expensive than, say, an Atlas or Woodland Scenics structure built from die cast parts.  A laser cutter is a large investment, and the labor in designing, cutting, assembling and painting structures is not insignificant.  That's what it costs to put a stunning structure on a model railroad, unless you are a good scratch builder and build your own structures.

The way I see it, it's not how much, but rather how much per hour of enjoyment while operating your layout.

Do you have a completely custom built layout by Trainworx or some Trainworx manufactured accessories?  I love what they do, but it certainly looks out of my price range.

John, I had them build my layout after I struggled for 6 years trying to build the wrong design with my limited skills.  My wife told me to do it and then run and enjoy the trains, which I faithfully do.  I added a Trainworx engine facility last year, and will replace my laser cut Santa Fe Depot (from a kit) with a Trainworx Santa Fe (NM) depot later this year.  Roger made me some authentic Santa Fe right of way signs last year, a modest investment that added a lot of realism.

Roger and I planned the layout theme; he designed a much better track plan than I had been working with, and they went to work on it, about 6 months from start to finish, with construction taking 4 months.  They were building the Rosenbaum layout and one other, at the same time as mine.  Mine could have been done in less time if I had not specified a complete Custom Signals automatic block system (a major additional cost that most modelers could do without, but which is a source of pleasure to me).  I also had a couple of other specific requirements that took extra time.  The layout is modular, but you would not think so, to look at it.  When I get to be too old to operate it, it will be disassembled and sold (by Trainworx) to a new owner.  That's in my will.

You might be pleasantly surprised at the cost if you do not make things too elaborate.  It won't hurt to ask Roger.  Trainworx treats every client like family.

Wow Tom - you are not only a Top Traintastic TrainWorx Customer but a true friend. Had no idea about your wishes... tremendously honored!

I'm in Omaha now and while Roger, George and Eugene are setting up the BNSF Layout I found this video I took last year right after installing your Locomotive Service Facility... check it  out : )

Just wanted to post a couple additional pics of the Rock Island Freight House, for all to see. I also have a pdf showing the footprint and height of the building.

So everyone is aware; kit price is $300.00 and built, painted and weathered, as seen in these photos is $897.00, these prices are good through May 15th. We are extending our "York" show prices til the 15th of May (all the credit for this goes to TrainDame!). If you have any questions pertaining to the kit, please feel free to reach out to me directly at mreagan@twtrainworx.com or to place an order feel free to call us at (877) 881-4997!

Hope you enjoy! It was great seeing everyone who stopped by the booth in York. Thank you for taking time out of your show schedule to see what we're up to! Always good to catch up with friends and "talk shop"!
