Agreed.  I bought some of their telephone/telegraph line poles but my last order for many more was apparently too late.  Sure hope some other manufacturer picks these up.  Really liked everything about them but especially the pre-painted  insulators.

This poster is one item I picked up on Saturday. I had to get it for the workshop. So many loads were made here for Weaver products, that I thought this would be the perfect place to hang it. Whenever I'm in the shop, I'll remember all the fine folks at Weaver, and the many trips I've made with my wife, sons and several friends. God bless Joe Hayter and the crew, and may they all find happiness and fulfillment.

Don

Me too. I was fortunate enough to pick up one for a repaint. It will soon be carrying cab number 917. I'll post pictures when it's done.

I would like to see a rerun of the whole 2006 catalog.

Hope this is true.  Looking forward to a Leigh Valley Black Diamond with Legacy!

I don't think any importer other than Lionel can offer a locomotive with "Legacy" since that technology is not being offered to anyone by Lionel.

I am assuming you mean the in-house Weaver tooling for the various freight cars and some  diesel locomotives. The "specialty" items that Weaver offered, i.e. the brass steam & diesel models and certain freight cars, were all produced overseas, thus "tooling" may not have even been involved, as with "hand made" brass models.

My hunt actually began before I heard that Weaver was closing...and after receiving a tremendous amount of help from fellow Forum member "Rail" (Don), I'm now happy to report that my hunt is over!

As many of you know, finding Weaver 3-rail die-cast trucks and couplers--especially in quantity--has not been easy over the years.  When I heard the news that Weaver was closing, I figured I'd take one more shot at finding some.

I reached out to "Rail" Don--knowing that he has had a working relationship with Joe Hayter (owner of Weaver) for many years--and asked if he would contact Joe on my behalf.

I received a shipment from Weaver yesterday containing 24 pair of 3-rail die-cast Bettendorf-style trucks and couplers.  Needless to say, Don (and Joe) came through big-time!  A huge thank you goes out to Don for his willingness to help me, and to Joe for providing the product!
