Didn't Weaver make some hoppers decorated for GE Lamp division some years ago? I know that someone did. I always have thought that was a neat car.
Kusan and then Weaver made the GE hoppers.

Would have liked to get some of their telephone poles
Agreed. I bought some of their telephone/telegraph line poles but my last order for many more was apparently too late. Sure hope some other manufacturer picks these up. Really liked everything about them but especially the pre-painted insulators.
"Most weaver items you can't give away. It took me 3 months to sell a brass weaver Milwaukee Rd Hiawatha Hudson That was like new for $300.00 "
man, you shoulda called me!!
Forrest,
you should have checked the buy/sell board these past couple of months.
This poster is one item I picked up on Saturday. I had to get it for the workshop. So many loads were made here for Weaver products, that I thought this would be the perfect place to hang it. Whenever I'm in the shop, I'll remember all the fine folks at Weaver, and the many trips I've made with my wife, sons and several friends. God bless Joe Hayter and the crew, and may they all find happiness and fulfillment.

A few years back they had a 2-8-0 Norfolk & Western (Class W). I didn't buy it at the time when I should have.
Me too. I was fortunate enough to pick up one for a repaint. It will soon be carrying cab number 917. I'll post pictures when it's done.
I would like to see a rerun of the whole 2006 catalog.
I spoke to the guy that runs Hobby Station down in Kentucky, and he said this
Weaver ending was a sort notice surprise, as he was putting together an order
for a custom run.
Tell him to keep the faith, custom runs will be back.

I am always looking for Reading and Northern 4 bay hoppers in 3 rail U4920 preferably with the orange tags, but will take the blue tags too. Anyone know of any please let me know, thank you.
Models will available again down the road.
Someone bought the tooling.
Hope this is true. Looking forward to a Leigh Valley Black Diamond with Legacy!

I don't think any importer other than Lionel can offer a locomotive with "Legacy" since that technology is not being offered to anyone by Lionel.

I am assuming you mean the in-house Weaver tooling for the various freight cars and some diesel locomotives. The "specialty" items that Weaver offered, i.e. the brass steam & diesel models and certain freight cars, were all produced overseas, thus "tooling" may not have even been involved, as with "hand made" brass models.

I know. I know. I never thought one of those would be on there.
Yeah, that MILW F-7 Hudson would have rung my bell - for more than $300, too.
Weaver F-7 4-6-4 availability and my budget have never coincided. Yet.
I am always looking for the Weaver 50 ft US Army flat cars in green. Before Weaver closed I received 9 of them. VBG. I have about 80 50 ft flats in my fleet. Most have modern military loads on them. I will miss Weaver a lot as I liked their modern cars.
Only Weaver engine I'd be interested in is the brass GTW U-4 shrouded mountain. They actually made it twice but I held out for MTH to do it in diecast. A mistake. The market fell apart soon after.
Now I wonder what became of the tooling?
Joe

i would have nailed $300 in an instant.
two on the bay right now. one for $600 and one for $795 (pending bids). you take the $600 one so i won't be tempted.
So just what all transpired at the Weaver Auction? I heard they were going to have one, but missed seeing any reports.
