i have seen a few videos lately where someone is soldering 2 wires together. In order to hold both wires in place they are using what I would describe as a silly putty. It looks to be very handy soldering resisters to LEDs and similar tasks.
I was hoping to know what a putty like substance would be used for this purpose.

The one Matt posted above looks pretty interesting, nice setup. The putty sounds interesting too, but I haven't seen it. Will be watching for more info as well.
I will watch, too, for I have lengthened chasses to power stuff, and have had to
splice {solder} in wiring to extend wires. Should be easier than it has been.
I do a lot of soldering projects-never tried putty. Maybe I will...
Paper clips, small clamps, super glue, the list goes on-whatever it takes to hold something to solder it.
I hate burnt fingers!
