As many of you know, Warrenville's trains are, by far, Post War, but I also like some modern era trains with the Post War feel and look. Engines must have magne-traction. Here are a few mostly modern era passenger "sets" I enjoy running.
The first consists of my Post War 746 N&W "J" and modern era "baby Madison" passenger cars. I had the N&W aluminum cars but sold then to buy these - I didn't care for how they looked behind the steamer. Note the Western Telegraph combo car that runs between the tender and passenger cars
The second is an extended modern era Union Pacific consist pulled by Lionel's re-make Alcos. At times this "set" is headed by the Post War #613 NW 2 switcher also shown.
The third is an extended Lionel Southern Pacific Daylight "set" of "Madison" cars and a S P Daylight Mint (bullion) car. I had the Daylight aluminum cars but, again, sold them for the reason noted above.
