I was looking around for some modern pup trailers, like those run by UPS, Roadway, Consolidated Freightways and others in two-trailer sets, and came across these on eBay. They come as undecorated white-painted metal and have simulated roll-up doors. You can also get the dollies for running them together on the road. I paid $3.39 each because I bought three; price varies by quantity. Quality is very good for the money, though of course not the same as a fine collectible. They are sold as 1/53, so at O-scale they come to a little over 25', which is close enough for me (I think the prototype is 28'). Search for "1/53 Tonkin".
I plan to paint the roofs silver and add visibility striping and numbers. They'll go on an RTTX "Triple 28 / Twin 45" flat.
I don't have any personal stake in this merchandise, I just really like the trailers and thought others might be interested.
